Hmm... something to think about

Hmm... something to think about

A true warrior, like tea, shows his strength in hot water.
Chinese Proverb

Never Alone
As He threw stars into the sky, moulded the earth, lit the sun and created you, so, also, will God show you the plans and purpose that He has for your life. Be still and listen, for no matter how many problems you may have, how troubled you are or how alone you feel, He is at your side with a loving hand on your shoulder. As you weep so, too, does He.

In the silence of the night He will be there, in the rush and noise of traffic He will be there, in your tears of sadness he will be there – always His hand will be upon your shoulder. Such is the enormity, grace and love of God.
Derek Dobson www.reflectionsofhope.org

God grant me serenity
To accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.
Rev Reinhold Niebuhr (from Uncommon Prayers for Younger People by Cecil Hunt).

The more you give, the more you get,
The more you laugh, the less you fret.
The more you do unselfishly,
The more you live abundantly.
The more of everything you share,
The more you’ll always have to share.
The more you love,
The more you’ll find,
That life is good and friends are kind.

About life
Life is a gift from God. Cherish it always and learn to master its challenges. The mastery of life is the key to full living, when every true path will show itself and no gate shall ever be barred.

Education is an adventure, something exhilarating and enjoyable as well as a process that never ends.

You will master everything you set your heart on. Setting your mind is not enough. The mind follows the heart – and it is the servant of your wanting.
Dr Prem Kutowaroo, Berkshire.

Taking time

It takes approximately 30 days to establish a new physical or emotional habit.

It almost always takes twice as long to complete a task as what we originally thought it would take.

Good time managers do not allocate their time to those who ‘demand’ it, but rather, to those who ‘deserve’ it.
Dr. Donald E. Wetmore, author of Beat the Clock.

Believe it or not…

‘Almost’ is the longest word in the English language with all the letters in alphabetical order.

Horatio Nelson, one of England's most illustrious admirals, was throughout his life, never able to find a cure for his seasickness.

Earth is the only planet not named after a god.

Of all the words in the English language, the word ‘set’ has the most definitions!
